Painting Cabinets in Vineland NJ: Project Spotlight!

Have you ever wondered what it’d be like to see your kitchen cabinets professionally painted

To help get you inspired, we love showcasing our favorite cabinet transformations here on our blog, and on social media, too.

Most recently, we finished a unique cabinet repaint in Vineland, NJ. Going deeper than a traditional style, we applied a glazed finish that really took the project to the next level.

Let’s take a closer look.

What Did it Involve?

Our goal, as with any cabinet paint job, was to transform older cabinets with a whole new look. Here’s how we did it.

Step 1: Preparation – Proper preparation is essential. We removed the cabinet doors and drawer fronts, spraying them in a controlled, dust-free environment. This ensures a factory-level finish for every door and drawer–every time.

Step 2: Cleaning – Sometimes it’s the invisible stuff that causes the most long term damage, so we thoroughly cleaned the cabinet frames in the kitchen to remove any grease, grime, or contaminants that could affect the finish.

Step 3: Sanding – We also sanded the surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of the primer and paint.

Step 4: Priming and Painting – Next, using industrial-grade wood coatings, we applied both primer and paint, ensuring a durable finish. The cabinet doors and drawer fronts received the same meticulous treatment.

Step 5: Reassembly – After the paint had fully cured, we reinstalled the doors and drawer fronts, replacing the hardware to complete the transformation.

The result? A beautifully updated kitchen with cabinets that look like they were freshly installed from a factory.

Special Feature: Glazed Finish

But this job involved another special element: a glazed finish.

So, what is a glazed cabinet finish? Good question.

Simply put, it involves applying a translucent glaze over a base paint color to create a worn, aged effect. The process includes painting the cabinets with a base color, then brushing or wiping the glaze onto the surfaces. The glaze settles into crevices and corners, adding depth and highlighting details, which gives the cabinets an antique, rustic appearance. This technique enhances the character and charm of the cabinetry, making them look beautifully aged and unique.

Why Choose Professional Cabinet Painting?

There are actually a number of unique benefits which make it an attractive option for NJ homeowners looking to update their kitchen without the high costs of a full remodel. Let’s break it down.

It’s Cost-Effective: Painting your cabinets is a fraction of the cost of a full kitchen remodel. It allows you to refresh the look of your kitchen without the significant expense of replacing cabinetry, countertops, and appliances. By updating the color and finish of your existing cabinets, you can achieve a stunning transformation that fits within a more manageable budget.

It’s Durable: Our industrial wood coatings provide a hard, protective finish that stands up to daily use. This durability ensures that your cabinets will continue to look great for years to come!

It looks Amazing: Lets not forget the most obvious. A fresh coat of paint can dramatically improve the look and feel of your kitchen, and even add value to your home. Whether you opt for a modern, sleek appearance or a warm, traditional look, newly painted cabinets can transform your space, making it more inviting and aesthetically pleasing.

You Can Customize: And lastly, customization. Cabinet painting offers the flexibility to personalize your kitchen according to your taste, whether you prefer bold, vibrant hues or classic, neutral tones.
